Meet Delaney, a senior at Austin High School, Class of 2024
This week’s Senior Sunday Spotlight is shining on Delaney Bishop, a high school senior from Austin High School, Class of 2025! Delaney has a heart as big as her personality and some seriously impressive plans for the future. But first, let’s get to know her a little better.
Who is Delaney?
When Delaney isn’t hanging out with her friends and family (or dominating the snack game with hot tamales and Werther’s caramels), she’s probably plotting her next creative adventure. soft and inviting, but with just the right touch of elegance to make her unforgettable. Don’t be fooled, though: she’s got a witty edge and a hype song, “Juggernaut”, that could power a superhero montage.

Delaney’s adventurous spirit doesn’t just stop at snack choices or daydreams about teleporting to mountain ranges. She’s someone who brings creativity to life. Whether she’s imagining herself as a movie villain for a day or browsing Pinterest for photo ideas (a telephone booth is a must!), Delaney has a knack for seeing the world through a unique lens. And when it comes to her senior portraits, she wanted them to feel creative, fun, and her—a goal we definitely nailed during her shoot.
Delaney’s Community Service
Speaking of big things, Delaney’s compassion has led her to do some incredible work for her community. She founded Little Luggages, a charity that provided foster kids with suitcases full of clothes, personal care items, and toys. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she launched the Red River Project, filling backpacks with essentials for anyone in need. Basically, if there were a Hall of Fame for kindness, Delaney would already have her portrait hanging in it.
Delaney’s mom shared some heartfelt words that perfectly capture who she is:
“Delaney, my sweet girl, words can hardly express how proud I am of the incredible young woman you’ve become. Your kindness, your compassion, and your ability to light up any room with your humor, laughter, and charm are gifts that make you truly special…”
What’s next for Delaney?
As Delaney gears up for her next chapter—double-majoring in Communications and RTV and maybe trading the Texas heat for cooler northern vibes—she’s taking senior year in stride. She’s someone who thrives in the in-between moments, whether she’s catching up with friends, laughing at life’s quirks, or planning her next creative venture.
Her dream for her photos? To be fun, colorful, and not country bumpkin. I’m pretty confident she crushed it. Between her stunning creativity and the energy she brought to every shot, these portraits are as unforgettable as she is.
When it came to describing this stage of her life, Delaney called it ‘reminiscence bump,’ perfectly capturing the mix of reflection and excitement that comes with being a senior.
What people get wrong about her:
Delaney shared that people often think she’s annoying, but honestly, anyone who spends five minutes with her knows she’s brimming with personality. Her best friend uses the word ‘chatty’ to describe her, and I think it suits her in the best possible way!
