Hi, I’m Jessica — photographer, mom,
and real-life book nerd.

Parenthood comes with so many voices telling you what to expect and somehow none of them prepare you for how fast everything changes and the unpredictability of raising kids.

I’ve had two kids, five years apart, both C-sections, both totally different experiences. I’ve made a lot of mistakes (and Googled a lot of things at 2am), and I’m still learning how to show up and be the kind of parent I want to be.

These photos aren’t about showing off milestones for the sake of it. They’re about noticing them. Documenting what matters while it’s still unfolding… a missing tooth, the way their curls catch the light, the imaginary friend that’s part of every conversation. These little things shift so quickly. These sessions are a way to keep them close, even as they grow out of your arms and into the world.

Milestone Portrait Pricing

Milestone sessions capture your little one’s biggest moments in that first year, like sitting up, first steps, or turning one. Since these are booked less often and tend to be more custom, pricing depends on things like location, props, and any extras you’d like included.

Yes! Honestly, movement is a huge part of what makes these sessions fun and real. I’m not here to make your child sit still… I’m here to capture their personality in action. Whether they’re dancing, spinning, climbing, or darting off to see a bug, we’ll work with that energy to create images that feel like them. Plus I’m pretty fast and they love it when I chase them down lol.

It really depends on what you’d like to capture, but they can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. Some families want to do strictly kids and others want to have family portraits as well. Reach out to me if you’re not sure how long of a package to select and I’d be glad to give some advice from all the years I’ve worked with other families to guide you.

I offer sessions outdoors in beautiful natural light, or indoors in your home, depending on your child’s age and comfort level. We’ll choose a location that suits your family’s vibe and needs.

Yes, of course! So once your session is booked you’ll receive a questionnaire to complete that will tell me about your kiddos and how I can make this the best experience for them!

Yes! Props aren’t necessary, but meaningful items, like a favorite blanket, toy, or book, can help your child feel comfortable. Not to mention, sometimes those are the sweetest because they aren’t going to always want their favorite stuffed animal.

Absolutely. Every phase brings something worth remembering. Whether your baby is starting to roll, grabbing their toes, or giving you big gummy grins, we can capture these fleeting in-between stages in a way that feels timeless.

Turnaround time varies during busier season. You can plan to receive your online digital gallery anywhere from 2-4 weeks or less depending on volume. You’ll receive a link to your gallery to download your images and order prints. For albums or artwork, I offer guidance so you’re never left wondering what to do with your images.

Life happens. I build flexibility into my calendar for reschedules, especially for families with little ones. We’ll stay in touch leading up to your session, and if something comes up, we’ll make a new plan, without stress.
