About UT Grad Photos in Austin

Sessions take place on and around the UT Austin campus… think the Tower, Main Mall, the South Mall, and other iconic spots that feel unmistakably Texas. I also have a full guide to my favorite campus locations here!

As soon as you know your graduation date! May and December are my busiest booking windows and spots fill up fast, especially in the weeks leading up to commencement. If you’re walking in May, I’d recommend reaching out by February or March at the latest to make sure you get your preferred date and time.

Most UT grad sessions include a mix of cap and gown photos and at least one additional outfit. For your second look, choose something you’d wear to a nice dinner or job interview, polished but still you. Solid colors and simple patterns work best on camera, and avoid anything too trendy that might feel dated in five years. Comfort matters too since we’ll be moving between locations across campus. If you’re bringing guests along, coordinate loosely rather than matching exactly, you want everyone to look cohesive. And if you’re shooting in May, keep Austin heat in mind and choose breathable fabrics for anything you’re wearing under the gown.

Sessions start at 30 minutes and go up to 2.5 hours… so there’s an option whether you want a quick set of portraits or a longer, more relaxed experience with time to really explore campus. The longer your session, the more locations we can cover and the more time we have for solo portraits, group shots, and everything in between. Not sure which length is right for you? Life happens. I build flexibility into my calendar for reschedules, especially for weather. We’ll stay in touch leading up to your session, and if something comes up, we’ll make a new plan, without stress.

Absolutely! Bring whoever you want by your side for this one. Keep in mind that session time is shared across everyone you bring, so if you want a good mix of solo portraits, group shots, and photos with specific people, a longer session length will give us the breathing room to do it all. I’ll send a questionnaire so we can make sure to prioritize the shots that matter most for you.

Turnaround time varies during busier season. You can plan to receive your online digital gallery anywhere from 2-4 weeks or less depending on volume. You’ll receive a link to your gallery to download your images and order prints. For albums or artwork, I offer guidance so you’re never left wondering what to do with your images.

Yes, absolutely. I know photography is an investment and I believe that meaningful photos should be accessible. I offer flexible payment options so you can book the session you want without extra stress. To book a session, you’re only required to pay a small amount of your session to get started. From there we can schedule out the remainder in a payment plan that works for you.
