Ema Williams, a senior at Austin High School, is a force to be reckoned with. She’s already demonstrated a level of determination and energy that will take her far in life. Her parents are incredibly proud of the person she’s become and eager to share what makes her shine.
A Strong, Independent Spirit
Her parents describe her as someone who is “her own North Star,” always with a sense of direction in life. Whether it’s working toward her goals in bodybuilding or excelling in academics, Ema’s determination shines through.
When asked about a funny or heartwarming childhood memory, her mom shared a story about Ema’s early days in the hospital. After being born premature, Ema’s doctors insisted on placing a feeding tube to help her gain weight. Just 30 seconds after it was placed, the nurses came back to the room to find Ema holding the tube high above her body, refusing to accept it. Her parents couldn’t help but laugh at how early her rebellious spirit started!
Passionate About Health and Strength
Ema’s passion for physical health is a big part of her identity. For the past three years, she’s been dedicated to bodybuilding, pushing her limits both mentally and physically. As she prepares for her first bodybuilding competition, she’s also focused on leaning out to achieve her best physique.
Her parents are incredibly proud of her achievements, especially when it comes to her Taekwondo journey. Ema became a 5th-degree black belt and now mentors younger students. Her mom shared that she’s been in the discipline since she was six years old, and there was a time she wanted to quit, but she persevered and is now an instructor and mentor to younger students.
A Day in the Life of Ema
When it comes to her perfect day off, Ema imagines starting with a morning gym session, followed by brunch at a local outdoor cafe. After some time exploring antique shops and bookstores, she would end the day with a stroll down Congress Avenue. It’s clear that Ema enjoys staying active and exploring new things, but she also values simple pleasures like good food and great books.
What’s Next After Graduation?
After graduation, Ema is heading to the University of Texas at Austin, where she plans to major in Exercise Science with a focus on Kinesiology. She’s excited to continue growing both mentally and physically as she works toward her future goals. “We know you are destined for great things,” her parents say.

If Ema had the opportunity to use a magic photo booth, she would teleport to a massive flower field somewhere in Europe or back to 1977, recreating Billy Joel’s iconic “The Stranger” album cover. She imagines her photo shoot filled with whimsical golden-hour vibes and a strong sense of “main character energy.” Whether it’s capturing her strength in bodybuilding or the softer, more ethereal side of her personality, Ema wants her photos to tell a story of who she is at this special moment in her life.

Ema’s personality can be described as bold, bright, and full of life. If her personality had a color palette, it would be filled with hot pinks, bright spring tones, and all the sparkle you can imagine. She’s energetic, passionate, and doesn’t shy away from standing out.
