Maternity Photographer in Austin, Texas
Back again with the wonderful Hahn family! I have been photographing these people since they welcomed Esmé into the fold. Now they’re preparing for baby sister’s arrival. Kailee’s pregnancy history includes a traumatic birth ending with Esmé’s very early arrival in the NICU. This experience has her on edge for this pregnancy. She did not get to do maternity photos with Esmé and the doctor’s are warning her of the storm on the horizon regarding the birth. So, we are capturing her maternity session earlier than normal. A normal, no issue, pregnancy comes with it’s own set of issues and headaches. With the addition of medical issues and the fears that surround them it’s a miracle this family can enjoy these moments. It would be easy to dissolve into the fears and stress of the situation, but the Hahn’s strength and resilience prove that their love and connection as a family can help pull them through any tough situation. I am so happy for them and feel their unbreakable love deserves recognition.
Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park, Texas
The Hahn family lives in the Round Rock area and when we were working out where to shoot this session I immediately hopped on Instagram to look at nearby locations. One that kept coming up was Brushy Creek Park. The photos online made it appear to be a wonderful spot. So when I reached out to Kailee I had to laugh because we had done Esmé’s first birthday photos there, but I didn’t remember the name of the area. We discussed other options, but ultimately I’m happy with the choice of going back to this location because the images we created this time are COMPLETELY different than before. The time of day makes all the difference for lighting. The morning light we captured here was absolutely beautiful. When planning your session it’s important to trust the times your photographer suggests. It really does make all the difference between good photos and great photos!
