Yellow wildflowers tend to show up later in the spring, usually late April into May depending on rainfall. This senior session landed right in that window… when the fields were full and the light stayed warm long enough to take advantage of it.
Spring of senior year fills quickly. Finals, college decisions, events, work shifts. Sessions like this work best when the flower bloom window and the calendar align which usually requires a little planning ahead.
From Yellow Sunset to Blue Hour
We started in the wildflowers while the sun was still setting. As the sunset faded, we moved into an open field where the sky had more room to stretch. The yellow dropped back, the tones cooled, and the moon began to rise. This was the same evening, but a totally different energy. Blue hour softened everything.
