I had dreamed up this session during spring and finally got to excecute it late spring. Spring fields in Central Texas shift quickly depending on rain, sun, etc. The idea was related to blue hour but we had to get some in the field of flowers before the sun went down.
Summer Wildflower Session at Sunset
The early part of the session was all about natural light warm, low sun and a wide field that let the sky take center stage. That feeling of freedom being on the edge of spring before summer break. The flowers were subtle, more atmosphere than backdrop, which made the transition into blue hour feel more natural.
Blue Hour with Lantern Light
I had this idea for low light senior photos and talked sweet Addy into trying this out for me. I bought some oil lanterns I liked online and was so excited to shoot during blue hour because I knew the lantern would glow orangey yellow. The contrast was something I’ve really been wanting to play with lately especially in relation to light. Would love for you to leave a comment and let me know what you think!
