Spring in Texas doesn’t always mean wildflowers and golden light. Sometimes it means gray skies, damp air, and puddles collecting along a dirt road… and sometimes that’s even better.
This little one showed up in a bright raincoat and boots, completely unfazed by the weather. This dirt road had long shallow puddles along the edges just waiting to be tested. There was no posing, no convincing… just jumping, splashing, giggling, and running back to do it again.
There’s something freeing about sessions like this. The rules feel different. The goal isn’t staying clean or perfectly styled. It’s letting kids experience the season the way they naturally want to.
Spring Doesn’t Need Sunshine
Spring isn’t only blue skies and wildflowers. Sometimes it’s muddy hems, wind-tossed hair, and the kind of laughter that only happens when no one is saying “don’t”.
This wasn’t a backup plan… the rain was the plan. If you’re considering a spring session, there’s space to design it intentionally.
