Meet Sophia!
Sophia is a high school senior at Akins High School and is set to graduate this spring (2026)! If this was the last chapter in a book she told me she would call it: “I Know The End.” It’s the title she gave this moment in her life not in a sad way, but in the way that only someone really self-aware can name a moment while they’re still standing in it. High school is closing, something new is coming, and she’s ready for both to be true at the same time.
She’s heading to college to study Mechanical Engineering, which makes a lot of sense for someone whose dream superpower is always knowing the exact moment to pull something out of the oven.
A Little More Sophia
Sophia describes herself as deeply type B: messy (not dirty, she’d like the record to show), intuitive, and someone who physically has to force herself to stop talking because she is, in her own words, “truly never ending.” She drives around with her windows down and the music up when she needs to feel like herself. She’s been lowkey obsessed with Greek mythology since she was a kid and still wants to wander the temples in Athens someday.
Sophia’s Perfect Day
Her perfect day looks like this: waking up at her grandma’s house to the smell of bunny pancakes, a holiday so the whole family is packed in, a feast, and a card table surrounded by the people who matter most. “There is no better place in the world for me,” she says, and you believe her completely.
Sophia’s Senior Photo Locations
We shot at two spots for Sophia’s session — Mueller Lake Park and Southwest Greenway. Sophia used to play at Mueller when she was little, so there’s something about ending a chapter in a place where an earlier one started that doesn’t need a lot of explanation. Southwest Greenway was in full spring mode, with fields of wildflowers in every direction
