The road leading to Mezmerize is currently under heavy construction, and the building itself looks like an industrial park or storage unit complex… so don’t be alarmed when you pull up. Give yourself a few extra minutes to navigate the area, and warn your kids that the outside is very deceiving on purpose. The moment you walk in, the whole vibe changes completely.
Before you step inside the experience, the staff will walk you through the story and what to expect. Kids who like to know what they’re getting into will appreciate the context, and it makes the whole experience land so much better when you understand the world you’re about to walk into.

Every installation inside Living Dream was created by local Austin artists and the experience doesn’t stop at what you can see. Musicians contributed an original score that plays throughout the space, meaning the soundscape itself is part of the art.
