Vida Clinic is a women-owned mental health practice right here in Austin — founded by Dr. Elizabeth Portman Minne, who launched a school-embedded mental health program at a single high school back in 2012 and has quietly been expanding access to care ever since. Kids, adults, families, whole organizations. The kind of work that doesn’t make headlines but absolutely should.

I got to spend time with Dr. Elizabeth, Chrissy, Christiana, and Mari out at Auditorium Shores in downtown Austin and the vibe of the shoot told me everything I needed to know about why their clients love them. These are not people who got into mental health for the prestige. They’re in it because they actually care, and it shows in the way they talk about their work, joke around between shots, and show up for each other.
Their whole thing is what they call “humanness” open communication, flexibility, and the fact that when a client has a question, a real person answers. No robots, no runaround. In 2025, that’s rarer than it should be.
