Jenna Carroll, Class of 2026 at Smithville High School in Smithville

Meet Jenna
Jenna Carroll’s best friend calls her energetic, and anyone who has watched her play volleyball already knew that. She’s the kind of person who came back from tearing four ligaments in her knee as a freshman, with seven months of rehab when the timeline said a year, she then went on to have the best season of her career in her junior year. She doesn’t talk about it to brag. It’s just part of her story.
She’s heading to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to study nursing and keep playing volleyball.
Jenna’s Senior Photo Locations
Jenna drove to Austin for her session and we headed out to Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park in December. The fall colors were still beautiful because it always happens later in Texas, which made for a gorgeous backdrop. There’s water out there too, and Jenna found it she slipped in during the session, but took it completely in stride and we all had a good laugh. The river water shots ended up being some of the best of the day. (scroll down to see ’em!)

A Little More Jenna
She doesn’t raid celebrity closets because her style is entirely her own, knee high Ariat boots one day, athletic wear the next, jeans and a t-shirt after that. Her favorite color palette is cool pastels. Her superpower wish is simply waking up to her alarm in the morning and I can totally relate! She’s giggly, she loves everyone. People sometimes mistake that warmth for cockiness until they actually meet her. She wanted her photos to feel rustic and grown, like someone who is ready for what comes next. Which is exactly what she is.
Jenna’s Perfect Day
Friends or volleyball, but preferably both!
Stepping Stones
Jenna named this chapter “Stepping Stones,” which feels right for someone who has spent the last four years turning setbacks into a running start. These photos represent the view from the top of one of those stones, right before the next leap.
