A Fall Mini Session for a Family of Four
Victoria and Charles Hogue came to Stoney Creek Park with their two toy poodles, Carter and Chewie, and a healthy amount of nerves about the whole thing. They’d described themselves as awkward with posing, which is something I hear more than you’d think, and they were upfront about it from the start. That kind of honesty actually makes a session easier.
The Fluffy Kids
Carter is the outgoing one… friendly, easy, ready for whatever. Chewie is a little more cautious with strangers, which meant treats were involved and patience was required. By the time we got into the session Chewie had settled enough to do her job, and her job was to be photographed looking cozy next to the people who clearly adore her. Both are adorable!
Not As Bad As They Thought
Victoria and Charles had done a session before and left feeling awkward about the whole thing… stiff poses, photos they didn’t love. So they came into this one with some apprehension. We got individual shots of each of them with each dog, the two pups together on their own, and enough candid in-between moments to round out the gallery. And when it was over, they told me it wasn’t nearly as bad as they thought it would be.
Coming from someone who’d been through a session they didn’t enjoy, that meant even more to me that I had done the job well.
