Meet Tristan
Tristan Kvitek’s best friend calls him loyal, and if you know anything about Tristan, that tracks completely. He’s the guy who qualified for DECA State without nearly enough preparation and walked out more confident than when he walked in, not cocky about it, just sure of himself in the way that comes from actually knowing who you are. He connects with people easily and he knows it. He’s also been underestimated more than once, which he finds motivating.
He’s part of the UT CAP program and will be attending UT San Antonio for freshman year before transferring to UT Austin as a sophmore, which feels right for someone who watches Suits when he should be doing homework and already thinks in terms of what’s next.
Tristan’s Senior Photo Locations
We shot Tristan’s session around the Auditorium Shores area, starting with some street shots downtown and then moving in front of the Long Center. We added in some family photos too that were so cute! We saved the best for last though, ending on a rooftop with his orange Challenger. For someone whose whole chapter is called “Finally Starting,” pulling up in that car felt like exactly the right punctuation.

A Little More About Tristan
Burnt orange is taking over his color palette and he’s letting it happen. His style runs black, white, and grey but his car is an orange 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8, so the universe has already decided for him. He’d snowboard in Denver every weekend if he could. His chapter title is “Finally Starting,” which he describes as the end of one era and the start of the next. Orange is representing a lot of his life right now, and honestly it shows.
Tristan’s Perfect Day
Sleeping in until ten, eggs and bacon, thrift shopping downtown, the gym with friends, Chipotle, an escape room downtown, Shake Shack on the way back, a show with the family, and staying up late playing video games. He mapped the whole thing out and it sounds pretty close to perfect.
Finally Starting
Tristan wanted these photos to feel like a new him. A celebration of who he’s become through high school, with a little style flexed along the way. That’s exactly what we made.
