Meet Caleb
Caleb Fairbanks drove all the way from Cisco to Austin for his senior session, which tells you something about him right away. He came with a class ring, a one act play patch, band under his belt, and a pair of Converse he clearly loved. His whole philosophy fits in a sentence: life’s too short to waste.
Caleb’s Senior Photo Locations
We shot across three spots in Austin in November and these are still some of my favorite photos. We started at Lou Neff Point with views of Lady Bird Lake, where the fall colors were doing exactly what you hope fall colors do. From there we headed to Jerry’s Artorama, which has some of the most vibrant graffiti walls in the city and gives you something to work with in every direction. We ended at I Luv Video, the original location before it closed and became We Luv Video elsewhere. There’s something about photographing someone in a place that no longer exists the same way that makes the photos feel a little more important.
Life’s Too Short
Life’s too short to waste, and Caleb meant it. That comes through in every frame — including the poses that had us all rolling. Those were his ideas. Every single one of them.
