Grace’s Senior Story

The first word Grace’s best friend would use to describe her? Sweet.
But spend five minutes reading through her answers and you’ll see she’s also introspective, opinionated, and has main-character energy to spare. A little Twilight. A little chaos. A lot of depth.

Grace is graduating from Smithson Valley High School this year, and her session shaped up to feel like something out of a movie, literally.

The Main Character Era

Grace isn’t interested in doing what’s expected of her. She’s more into doing what feels right. That comes through in everything she shared: from the Twilight forest she’d teleport to in a heartbeat, to the dream photo vibe she’s after (cinematic obviously).

After graduation, she’s eyeing education, but she’s also explored ideas like cosmetology and real estate. The truth is, Grace isn’t ready to be pinned down and that’s not a flaw, it’s part of what makes her dynamic.

She’s in her “okay, time to be serious” chapter, and there’s something about her mix of softness and strength that makes you believe she’s going to figure it all out on her own terms.

Aesthetic + Location Inspo

When asked where she’d go if she had a magic photo booth that could transport her anywhere in the world, Grace didn’t hesitate: Forks, Washington—home of mossy trees, dramatic coastlines, and just a hint of vampire energy.

She’s all about dark greens, purples, reds, and blacks… think witchy, not spooky. Grace said she doesn’t care much about props but is really focused on location, and she’d love to bring her dog along for some sweet moments.

When She Feels Most Confident

Grace’s confidence comes alive when she’s in a dress and dancing at a party or school dance completely unbothered, completely herself. She’s got that blend of chaos and charisma that makes her very fun to photograph.

The Real Stuff

Grace is one of those people who can joke and keep things light, but there’s more under the surface, thoughtfulness, strength, and some real growth behind the scenes.

Like a lot of teens (and let’s be real… adults too), this past year came with challenges. But instead of letting it define her, Grace met it head-on. Her answers are full of self-awareness, a little sarcasm, and a reminder that confidence isn’t about always having it together… it’s about showing up anyway.

The Favorite Things List (aka The Grace Files)

  • Zodiac Sign: Leo 🔥
  • TV Show Rotation: Ginny & Georgia, Heartbreak High, and yes—Twilight reruns. Bella Swan could never.
  • Celebrity Closet Goals: Charli XCX. Her fashion vibe? “All black everything” with dramatic flair.
  • Snack Queen Status: Pickle spears + Cheez-It Puffs = iconic duo.
  • If I Were a Mythical Creature: Fairy or elf—magical, mysterious, and unbothered.
  • My Style In Three Words: Girly. Alt. Confident.
  • Secret Talent or Superpower I’d Want: 100% psychic. But she’ll settle for perfect eyeliner on the first try.
  • Most Confident Moments: School dances and parties where she’s dressed up and totally in her zone. Bonus points if there’s glitter involved.

Current Song Obsessions:
“High Fashion,” “Pink Pony Club,” and “Wishbone.” Think pop with a twist and a whole lot of energy.

What People Get Wrong

Grace said people often mistake her for someone who’s quick to explode. She doesn’t let things slide when she sees something wrong—and that can come off as intense. But as she puts it:

“I am a very sweet person once people get to know me.”

Final Notes

Grace found me because my photos looked “alternative and cool,” and she really wanted to be a part of the creation process.

Honestly? That’s my favorite kind of client. Grace is bold, funny, thoughtful, and just the right amount of drama to keep it interesting. I loved how her images turned out and I think we nailed her cinematic style with hints of twilight!

Congratulations Grace and thank you for hiring me!
