Purgatory Creek Trail has a mix of open fields, tree-lined paths, big rocks, and just enough adventure without making you climb a hill while 30 weeks pregnant.
When Monse and I first chatted, her biggest concern was privacy… her outfit was a little more revealing, and she wanted to feel safe and relaxed. Totally valid. This spot isn’t crowded, especially at golden hour, and it gave us exactly the vibe we were hoping for.

Yes, your chosen shoes might look cute, but are they third-trimester-on-a-rocky-path cute? I always suggest my maternity clients bring a backup pair of comfy walking shoes. You’re already carrying a human. Let’s not add unnecessary chaos.

When I pick a location for maternity photos, I’m thinking beyond the visuals. Flat trails, easy access, shaded spots — especially if you’re already feeling off-balance or swollen. No steep hills. No rough paths. Just space to breathe, be present, and not worry about loosing your footing on a hill.
