Lake Travis Family Photographer – The Holster Family
I am so glad I got a call from Mindy about her extended family photo session in Austin, Texas. It was a bit last minute, but when she told me their story I knew I had to go. I drove out to Lago Vista Saturday morning so I could take some photos and shoot a video for this sweet family. They actually rented a house near Austin because it was a central location for the whole family to meet and spend the weekend together. I know they made some amazing memories during their short visit together and I’m so honored they asked me to document this moment.
With most families you never really know how long you have together, but when you do know it’s never the answer you want to hear.

I love a large family shoot. It’s always a bit wild and there’s definitely unpredictable things that happen during that make it a very unique photo experience. It’s wonderful to have someone come out when you and your family are on vacation or celebrating a holiday because you know everyone will be there.

Where to stay on Lake Travis
This lake is so large and full of nooks and crannies for spots you can rent. My husband and I found a little spot for our first anniversary in 2018 at The Island. I hear it’s more popular during the summer months because of the pool and other things it has available. We were there in February and we still had fun, but I’m pretty sure we would have fun together no matter where we are.
