Hi, I’m Jessica — photographer, mom,
and real-life book nerd.

I know what it’s like to want to have everything ready… the gear, the plan, the backup plan. Pregnancy comes with so much pressure to be prepared, even when nothing about it feels predictable.

I’ve had two kids, five years apart, both C-sections, both totally different experiences. I’ve made a lot of mistakes (and Googled a lot of things at 2am), and I’m still learning how to show up and be the kind of parent I want to be.

But this season isn’t just about getting things in order… it’s a full transformation. While birth may mark the beginning of life with your baby, the journey of becoming a parent keeps unfolding long after. These photos are a way to pause and honor the start of that journey.

The sweet spot is within the first two weeks after baby arrives, when they’re still extra sleepy — but lifestyle sessions aren’t limited to that. If you’d rather settle in a bit first or need flexibility, I’ve got you. We’ll pencil in a date based on your due date (and adjust if baby has other plans).

Absolutely not. I’m not photographing your baseboards… I’m photographing your life. A little tidying can help the photos look their best, but if there’s laundry on the couch or toys on the floor, that’s life, and it’s all part of your story.

Crying, feeding, diaper changes are part of this stage. I send a questionnaire beforehand to discuss your comfort and needs. We take breaks as needed and keep the session baby-led. No forcing, just real moments.

You’ll get a prep guide with ideas, but the short version? Wear what feels like you. That might be a flowy dress, a cozy cardigan, or jeans and an oversized tee. Bare feet are always welcome. I find many new moms prefer to wear a flowy dress that’s easy to breastfeed in.

Absolutely! I welcome the whole crew — toddlers, teens, pets with big personalities. While we can grab a few classic portraits, what I really love is finding natural moments of connection. We’ll talk beforehand about what your older kid(s) are into and how to keep them engaged in a way that feels fun and true to your family.

Yep! In-home sessions are perfect if you want a cozy, documentary feel. And if you already have kids, it’s one less thing to pack a bag for.
