Maternity Photography Session in San Marcos, Texas

Hey friends! I love getting to travel to be a San Marcos maternity photographer! There is nothing more beautiful than a woman that’s excited about her pregnancy, like Monse. Her sweet Mother-In-Law gifted them this session to celebrate and I’m so glad she did.

When I reached out to the couple, Monse expressed that she wanted a private location and I think we got about as private as we could. We shot these photos in San Marcos at Purgatory Creek Trail.

Pro tip: remember to bring shoes you can easily slip on and walk in if you’re on a trail. I try to choose locations that are not difficult for a maternity photo shoot, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. So far I haven’t had any falls in all the years I’ve been photographing women with child, and I sure don’t want that to ever change. Don’t be shy in telling your photographer your needs. If you’re struggling with balance or can’t walk far distances disclose it! I can’t speak for all photographers, but if they are seasoned they will know locations that will work for everyone.

Pregnancy is such a magical time filled with expectation and round ligament pain. (IYKYK) Besides all the scary tests to make sure you and baby are healthy and there aren’t any major complications, pregnancy excitement is real. How amazing are our bodies?
